It’s time for our first Blend of the Month of 2023! This year, Christian starts us off with a look at Nora Ephron and her Oscar-nominated screenplays. We’re going chronologically, and starting with the 1983 drama, Silkwood.
Meryl Streep stars as real life labor union activist Karen Silkwood, who gets caught up in a battle for health and safety with her employer, Kerr-McGee. Though Silkwood is hard to find these days, it was a box office success and nominated for 5 Oscars. Will our hosts agree with the critics, or is it time for hot takes on the pod?
