Despite muted box office reception, Barry Lyndon broke through critically at the time, receiving 7 Oscar nominations, winning 4. The film’s critical reception has improved over the years, and it’s widely considered one of Kubrick’s best films. How will our hosts feel?

Widely considered a great year for cinema, 1975 also featured a well-loved group of Best Picture nominees. We’ll be taking a look at 3 of them here on the show, starting with the Spielberg classic, Jaws. Neither Scott nor Christian had seen Jaws before (for shame!), so it’s time to cross it off the list. Will our hosts venerate an old classic, or is it hot take city on the pod?
